DR. KHUN CHOEURN
Dr. Khun Choeurn, a school founder and director of Elegant International School, has had 22-year experiences in educational career. His journey into education began with a deep-seated passion for knowledge sharing. From a young age, he found joy in helping his friends, especially those who struggled with lessons he grasped easily. This innate desire to teach was fueled by his family’s financial struggles; teaching became a way for him to support himself while pursuing his education. Ultimately, he envisioned himself as an influencer, inspiring future generations to embrace education and become educators themselves. Dr. Khun Choeurn started his teaching career in 2003 as a part-time teacher in his village while he was a high school student. Before he became a lecturer of English at two prestigious universities in Cambodia, Norton University (2009-2012) and Build Bright University (2012-2016), he also served as a part-time and full-time teacher at a few schools, one of which was Beltie International School. At Build Bright University, he was assigned to hold two positions-a lecturer and director of Centre for Foreign Languages (CFL). Honestly, due to the experiences as a CFL director, he decided to found his own school, Elegant International School, with the other three founders in Poi Pet in 2016.
